Anglin served the Riverdale community as a teacher and then principal at Riverdale Elementary School. In 1970, the PTA established The Mildred L. Anglin Student Aid Fund at the University of Maryland. The purpose of this fund continues to honor Mrs. Anglin's memory by providing financial aid for qualified students who attended Riverdale Elementary School. Any prospective or current University of Maryland student who attended Riverdale Elementary School is eligible for a portion of this fund. It is currently valued at approximately $80,000. Thirty years later, we still recognize and commemorate the example of excellence set by Mrs. Anglin as an educator and child advocate. The PTA will make another contribution to this fund at the end of the current school year. If you would like to add your contribution in any amount, make your check payable to "The Mildred L. Anglin Student Aid Fund" and send it to Riverdale Elementary School, 5006 Riverdale Road, Riverdale, MD 20737, attention PTA. Ray Badders is President of the Riverdale Elementary School PTA.
