Anything that you place at the curb will be picked up except the following: tree trunks and stumps; limbs larger than two inches in diameter and/or three feet in length debris from remodeling including lumber, roofing materials, plaster and drywall, and tile chain-link fence and poles furniture in bulk contents of an entire household air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers lawnmowers or any other gas-powered tool unless gas tank is removed automobiles, including major components such as engines, radiators, fenders, doors, and gas tanks tires dirt, stone, gravel, and sod concrete block and brick cement, concrete, and bituminous pavement rubble antifreeze and oil road material glass, including windows, door panels, and fish tanks paint hazardous materials and chemicals Residents who want to dispose of these materials (except hazardous chemicals) can call the department at 301-927-6381 to make arrangements for a special pick-up. A fee will be determined based on the amount and type of material to be removed (only checks are accepted for payment).
