Candlelight Tours at Riversdale

candles picture December 28 and 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., the home of Rosalie and George Calvert will welcome visitors by candlelight. The elegance of this unique home takes on a special appearance in the soft glow of candles.

Music and refreshments of the season will be offered as part of your holiday season visit during the candlelight tours. Admission: Adults - $5, Seniors - $4, Students - $3 (under 16 years of age). For information: (301)927-8230.

The regular tour schedule during Christmas week will be noon to 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 28, 29, and 31. Admission: Adults - $3, Seniors - $2, Students - $1.

Visit the Riversdale Gift Shop on Fridays and Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m. for special gifts for family and friends. The shop is located in the basement. Volunteer operated, all proceeds benefit the mansion.

Seniors Christmas Luncheon

childrensxmastree picture On Tuesday, December 19 at noon, seniors will be hosted to a luncheon at town hall. Please call the town office (301)927-6381 to reserve a place.

Children's Christmas Event

senlunch pictureOn Friday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m., the Recreation Board invites families to come to Town Hall for a visit with Santa Claus. Children will be given a special gift and parents will receive a photo of their youngster's visit with Santa. Hot chocolate and carols will also be provided. The event will begin with lighting of the town tree at the end of Queensbury Road.
