by Theta Zornes If you are (1) a citizen of the United States, (2) are at least eighteen (18) years of age, (3) have resided within the corporate limits of the town for at least forty-five (45) days immediately preceding any town election, and (4) are registered to vote in Prince George's County you are a qualified voter of the town. If you are not registered to vote or your registration is not current, you can pick up a registration form from the Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road. The form is self-addressed to be returned to the County Board of Elections in Upper Marlboro. You will receive a Voter's Information Card from the Board of Elections to verify your registration. You may also register to vote online. The web site address is www.co.pg.md.us/elections. The March and April issues of the Town Crier will contain information regarding the May 7 elections. Voting will be held at the Riverdale Park Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road. Remember Every Vote Counts. Theta Zornes is the Editor-in-Chief of the Town Crier. |
