This charter change amends Section § 4.04(b), Article IV, the Powers and Duties of The Mayor, in the Town of Riverdale Park Town Charter. The resolution states, "All department and agency heads may be removed by the mayor with a majority vote of the council. All subordinate officers and employees of the offices, departments, and agencies of the town government shall be appointed and removed in accordance with the rules and regulations in any merit system that may be adopted by the council."
