Privacy of Driver and Motor Vehicle Records
As a result of new federal and state privacy laws, the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) is offering residents an opportunity to keep their MVA driver and motor vehicle records private. If you choose to keep your records private, this information will be restricted to government officials, law enforcement personnel and those who need it in connection with motor vehicle or driver safety, theft, emissions and manufacturer recalls. If you do not choose to keep your records private, this information will be given out upon request.
If you would like to keep your MVA records private, please call the toll-free number 1-888-682-3772 or complete the information on the form below and return it to any MVA office or mail to: MVA, DPPA, 6601 Ritchie Highway, NE, Glen Burnie, MD 21062.
A list of all downloadable MVA forms (including information on how to use them) is at http://mva.state.md.us/docs/index.htm
The form for restricting access to your records is at http://mva.state.md.us/docs/DL_026.pdf
Social Security Records
As the year 2000 approaches, many experts are recommending that you request a copy of your Social Security payment history. The Town of Riverdale Park has a limited number of the Social Security Earnings and Benefit Estimate Statement forms available at the Town Hall. You may pickup one up from the lobby Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 - 5 p.m.
